Thanks Frank, Matty will be sorting me out with the required panels hopefully. I'm going to order up some of the weld through primer and even just spray the bare metal just now until I get enough money together to get sorted with a welder and gas.

My mate had a mk2 Escort and there was no floor in it and every panel was just about rusted away. I have only owned a couple of Fords in my time and had to get everyone welded. The Escort van I have just now is the total opposite but I think that’s because my van was built in Germany so I guess that says it all really!

Funny how the German built Fords were always better than the British ones. One of my other mates had a 91 (H reg) Sierra and the body on that was brilliant: again German built

lol so were BL but at least our cars held out a bit longer against the tin worm
