Sounds like a plan Larry. The National is going to be Somerset/Devon area. I don't think a venue has been decided yet.

still recovering from my trip to watch newcastle last night and still suffering so sorry for my absence. well it seems we have got a good response to the idea it would be a great day out. as for the organising the event i don't mind helping out and will do all i can from this end so i will start work on the letter/ email to bmw if you like and see if i can get a response.

8) ideally we want every model from every year to be there,from the oldest to the newest. is it possible to aim as high as 100.the only doubt would be probably the ice cream van. stuart devine has the ex cowley directors car,would be good if that could make it. then there are the custom ones as well. 100 should be possible. would we be including the pilgrim bulldogs as well. surely one or two of the classic magazines will cover the event. the classic car weekly paper usually brings out a book in february with whats on and where if we can get it into that.but first we have to decide when and where.

8) Nice idea Larry, and it may just work :wink: , we should just about be able to rustle up 100 cars between us all, although i haven`t seen that many Marinas together since the early 90`s, and as time passes the chances seem to lessen each year , our problem is finding enough drivers :wink:

8) is the idea for an all britain rally in 2008 to mark 25 years since production ceased still on the go or is it on the back burner ??

I think Becks is gonna be ringing the old bus museum in Cowley , just need to sort out the best dates !! :D
