here are a few more pics. We needed to fabricate new rear wheel tubs as the old ones was beyond repair. The metal we use are actually from some metal shelfing - powder coated it should make a better protection against rust than if i started with bare sheet.metal.

work have been done during the last couple of mobths - just slow posting :)
im replacing the doors, bonnet, grille with better second hand ones - so in all not too much left of the old girl. Engine runs sweet so i will leave that alone, not too sure about the gearbox as it feels a bit "wobbly" when changing gears. Will decide its faith when i get it up & running. Here's some more bodywork pics

paint is on, i haven't gone "overboard" fixing the bed - as there were MANY dings etc from use. I plan to use the pick up for very light & careful transports... so will see if im satisfied with the finish or if i'll redo the bed. Also welded in some tubes to take a frame i have for the pickup bed. That wouldn't be fitted before the wood comes back from the wood-working shop that i left it with....

doors & bonnet painted separately, quite good finish on the photos but since there is no proper spray-boot there is some dust in the paint. We can still get 2K paint at some shops here in norway....

Havent had time to post much but there have been some progress on the pickup. Mostly putting the parts back on again

Image

NOS front-screen rubber - but i'm missing the chrome (or should it be black??) infill
Image
engine parts coming together
Image

gotta love that basic interior on the comercials

had an old headlining after a coupe that i was planning to use (if you scroll to one of the first pics you would see that "custom" headlining that came with the car
Image
Image
Also putting a s/h frame and NOS tilt on it. (makes it looks a bit like a morris minor - but the again :)

Image
mmm nos rear lights :)

Image
Image

Seats could have been better - but almost too good to redo
Image

Is it just me or......
Fitting nos fresh parts to an old classics sometimes makes me just stop and stare and admire details. It's either a bit mental , too much alcohol, or maybe a bit of both :)
