Fitted good s/h rear brake drums obtained from Maestego via Ebay. The old drums had cracks between the wheel stud holes (presumably caused by someone overtighening the studs?) and also had bits broken off around the edges (caused by someone trying to remove the drums by smashing them with a hammer!!).

Would you believe Gary that the bonnet and roof I polished last November is still shiny and smooth..........the rest is cack.

Looked at rear brakes checked cylinders weren't seized adjusted all up and bled,good job done so treated it to a good hoover then give a good run

I finally got round to swapping the dizzy clamp for the one off the TC lump, the one on there was a cheap looking one that came with the electronic converted dizzy and I'm hoping that's what was letting the timing keep slipping, and the fairly regular failures to start. If that doesn't work I'll swap the whole dizzy and we'll go back to points for a bit. Did go for a jaunt to the scrapyard in the sunshine yesterday though
