As the sun was shining decided to get the Cars started and ready for their MOTs (Due soon), well Blaze coupe started on the Button, Blue Coupe (would not start, managed to get started with a Jump start off the Peugeot ) but wouldn't hold a charge so one new battery and some new battery cables and we're good to go, then on to the MGF, jumped off the new Battery on the Marina, and again good to go, just need to get the MGF Taxed might wait till June 1st now, and get the Marinas MOT'd.. Oh and Bentley started on the button too, and I think I may have a buyer for it, (not advertised but by word of mouth, so that's going for MOT and service ready for sale, then it just might be time to get both Marinas repainted, the money I'd saved for the repaints got spent on a new Boiler and central heating system :( .. and maybe room for another Marina ? :) ).
Roll on Summer :)

You gonna get that estate then? Go on, perfect for your 'fast Marina' plans  Or are you going to get another coupe?

Took a trip to a car show in Aldeburgh today, 3 hour round trip in the sunshine, lovely :-D

Only Marina at the show (photos to come later as I pinched my girlfriend's camera due to low batteries in mine and awaiting her to send them over  ), got a few compliments though and people posing in front of it

Do like that colour.

Mine's been out for a run in the rain... Actually running quite nicely, but the wet has highlighted how bad the oil leak has got, my whole drive is a very pretty rainbow colour. Need to clean all the oil off the engine so I can try and work out where it's coming from- hoping it's probably just the rocker gasket.

Over the last few days I have freed the rear brakes for the MOT, then I changed the engine oil and filter, gearbox oil and diff oil change, brake and clutch fluid change and antifreeze change.

Took the passenger side hub off to bend the disc guard back to stop the scuffing noise.

Took the rear dampers out to look at the top eye bush (MOT advisory) and tried to find the correct size of rubber bush on ebay and then remembered I had bought another set of dampers many years ago from John Skelly (that's a blast from the past) and they are better than my 25 year old 70,000 mile uprated ones.

So as soon as the paint is dry on the lower damper brackets (a bit corroded so cut the old washers off and welded in some new big washers for strength again). I can fit it all back together again.

Need to tow the trailer to the tip with garden rubbish.

You need a 10cwt Pickup, no need for a trailer any more.

Do you work for a DAF place then Fruity?

I spend quite a lot of my time taking DAF fuel systems apart, looking at them in a baffled manner for a while, and putting them back together again

A friend of mine came over to pick up a radio I converted for his Austin A55. He brought one of his A35s over. We popped over to a local airfield for a go in each others' cars. He really liked the Marina, I enjoyed the A35 8-)

Went and woke the beast today. After 3 months of saving I went and taxed her online on Friday so I thought I would get her woken up and cleaned up today. Hopefully get her out on the road next weekend weather permitting.
