it will be dead easy to go to the DVLA site and check up on it
Not for members outside the UK, or those who want to bone up on the breed before choosing which model to invest in.

But why over-react to a few plonkers (or was there a concerted attack previously?). Why not just put new members on moderation for a week, then should weed out the plonkers.

Aye, true, but it means beniboyz and Sam will be very, very busy for a couple of weeks......

The problem is Bryan is that the moderators on here lack the ability to moderate. If you disagree with them then they delete the post. The same goes if you defend THEIR forum and OUR cars the mods side with the plonkers and delete the genuine members postings. This has been demonstrated umpteen times in the past and i'm sure most regulars in here will agree. Now we are having a discussion and people will struggle to follow it properly and make their own judgements as half of it is missing!Maybe Clarkson and his followers are right after all and we are all mad...
Beauty with brains behind it!

Well gentleman, now i have a new and fully working computer

I shall add some of my own thoughts on the recent happenings on "fastmarinamagazine as posts have been pulled and information has gone missing my full interpretation of some of the facts may indeed be slightly inaccurate,if this is the case i apologise in advance.

I seem to be getting the felling that,i was the catalyst in the recent happenings on this forum, that my response to the initial posting and topic by Sean (ado 28) "It's back" indeed this very topic that this is a direct response to,where i mentioned that other classic car owners via their site were leveling insults at the Marina and this web site, the point that i drew most attention too was that the site name FAST-MARINA-magazine was seen as somewhat of a joke name by many of this sites membership indeed from my own experiences the name is totally inappropriate and if from the car is ever is to accept more than ridicule from the collector and classic car enthusiast and even the general public the name Fast-Marina-magazine is not the way to do it.

Yet i get the distinct impression that some may have seen these entries on that very topic and seen them as a "placed to draw a response" in essence giving out the bullets for others to fire!

May i say that i had no intention of this i am perfectly capeable of fighting my own battles and standing my own corner, and in plain words i do not need others to voice my views,if i have a problem i will come forward with it and say what i believe to be right I am not a fence sitter, and my jacksy is free from splinters.

I still stand by my initial comments the forum name is truly awful and if the original idea of an "in-joke" by the forums founder Ben,has truly now backfired giving the Top Gear type of person more "fuel for the fire" and one more thing to throw at the Marina/Ital owner, but these were my own views, and no malice was intended by them.

This site has not been with out it's problems, that are all well documented, yet when the cry for financial assistance went out the offers of help from FMM forum were limited indeed, and only a very small percentage of its membership responded, and these people deserve a mention,Paul (Jubliee Nut) Sean (ado 28) and a special mention as Sean was between jobs at this stage, and Frank (Uncle Frank) so disappointed by the feedback was i that i volunteered to foot the entire £50 hosting fee so the site could oporate for another year because i vauled it so highly *if i have missed anyone in this list i'm sorry for this*

In conclusion if i have caused disharmony or personal upset i apologise without resevation,as this was never my intention or motivation.

Hi all, I dont know if any of you have seen this yet but its a trailer for the new topgear series and it shows a brief clip of James May driving that Marina so Clarkson has handed the torch over to him now, looks like its being used like a rally car in the snow I dont expect they will burn it out somehow. Click the link if it turns into a link when i post this or just copy and paste it onto the internet bar if not. There are also other classics being used in a race involving Richard Hammond.

Oh well, an hour to blast off! Lets see how quick the first TG idiots arrive after the show....
Thinking about it though, they have had to spend some wedge on this car, roll cage, safety systems, hub adaptors etc.... lets hope it survives.....

Anyway, if it does get too grievous on here, I'll take a quick holiday somewhere else......

All user accounts have to be activated before they can write on the forum. I will be taking more care over the next week or so when activating accounts. The main forum will remain free to view this way reducing the amount of users registering with FMM.

Could all FMM members please be aware and careful when posting in this thread.

Non TG idiot here

Well it could have been worse and better, better if the old girl had survived but worse in the fact that the marina could have lost. I know that the result was supposed to appease but the real positive for me from this was that the special did look special on those alpine roads and it did make it to the bottom of france.

Only shame is thats where it is probably residing now after another piano dropped out of the skies.

Did look good in the ice race too, wonder if i could do that only my local pond in winter.....

I had this car for a while. damn good motor as well with only 20k on the clock. Am I bothered ? Its their motor now and they can do what they want with it. They have destroyed better cars than the marina. Its more annoying than anything else. They never even looked at the badges. It wasnt an owners club car but an ecosse one. Whats done is done and no amount of complaining can alter it. Sad end to a good motor.

At the end of the day for all our club logos were splashed over it i couldn't personally give a monkeys, my dad made on the car and then that owner sold it on to a guy called david who phoned myself months ago and the car was offered to anyone for £400, and no one wanted it even with 19 thou from new. It was also on gumtree for months with no takers, and the web has taken a power of hits
