I just rebuilt a noisy gearbox and it was only the input shaft bearing.

Of course I had to strip the whole thing to find that out...

The noise stopped when you got into top - or when you had the clutch in while stationary.

I was expecting it to be the layshaft bearings...

Today took a slight change of direction.

Phils CBR400RR that's been off the road for nine years.

A suspected carb problem was to be investigated.

The bike- not seen for a few years.

The Gimps hard at work.

Air box and all four carbs off.

Found what we hope to be the problem- a split petrol T piece.

Kevs first time as a pillion

Tucked in and ready for speed!

A week early this month due to commitments next Sunday.
Again not that much Marina action.
First job was to fit a fuel filter to the Fun pickup. It wasn't fun doing it..... Fiddly but now the truck runs

Then it was strip a head off a spare TC engine to be 'Peter Burgessed' for the TC.

Then we awoke my two Marinas that haven't moved since the day after the NEC show. First time I'm ever had the TC off the road in 7 years. Both had stuck clutches. The Special came free fairly easy the TC needed a wheel jacked up and full revs in second gear and a few jabs on the brakes to free.

Then fitted my new wheel arch trim. ( Thanks Kev )

Kev fitted a new fog light switch to the special so it's ready for MOT once I get my rear lights back from being refurbed.

Phil wishing his legs where longer.

Kev hoping he doesn't drop it!

Also had problems with wheel studs and nuts on the TC.

Hoping someone can help- post in the technical section. Thanks.
