Oops thats the thing about being thick you end up doing stuff that everyone tells you it's impossible like painting the car with hammarite and fitting rear screen with new rubbers from a ford

After 5 weeks of hard labour digging up the drive (9 skips) and putting proper hard core and a new surface down I got two of the cars out the other day and washed them (they had been marooned for 5 weeks in the garages), then took the Marina for a run.

Today I towed a borrowed trailer (big heavy thing) to Market Rasen on the back of the Marina and brought back another water tank, 6 foot x 3' 6" dia(400 gallons).

The Marina had difficulty getting beyond 52mph on the run down, but would do 60mph with the tank onboard. First time I've won an auction on Ebay.

Hi Gary,

You know I don't do shows, just local classic rallys, so they can see it on the move.

Replaced my gearstick sponge so hopefully no more annoying noise! Also hunted for my water leak and found a weeping core plug.

It's the one next to the dynamo so should be nice and easy to replace.

Been out and about in the Pickup and smelt petrol. There's a loop of fuel pipe on the back of the HIF44 carb and it has split.

Currently furgliing in the garage for some replacement pipe, so that I can drive to Swanton Morley tomorrow morning.
