Well last night i fitted the new water pump,
Then found the radiator has a hole in it
But lucky me i had a spare radiator,it made sence to fit new hoses at the same time.
I also gave it a oil + filter change,new spark plugs,fanbelt,coolant flush.

Was gonna make a start on touching the paint in on Reynard as it was lovely and sunny while I was at work today ,then when I finished it started to rain so instead I took the wife's car to visit the nice MOT man instead and it passed :) Its still raining so I'm gonna hunt the shed for suspension bits so I can build up 2 new uprights for Reynard

With the first coat of paint I let it dry for 48hrs and it still peeled off unless I drove into the garage completly straight.I had to sand off the scrubs and will let this dry for longer

My aerial extension cable arrived today so I fitted that! When driving home I heard slight exhaust noise and noticed that I had a hole in the backbox and that my hanger had rotted away. I fitted a new hanger to it and filled the hole with some gum gum. I hope it holds until I can source a new exhaust for it. Does anyone know if they still do mild steel systems for the Marina? I know about the stainless system but will need to save up the pennies for that fella and I'm about to spend £260 on some rubber for him as I will feel safer driving to Peterborough with new tyres on it

I wouldn't worry too much Sean, i think it was more a case of faulty manufacture, as the shocker was almost new:

The welded joint is very small here:

If it wasn't NOS i'd take it back. :rolls:
