Well it worked for all of 5 minutes when plugged back in and does light up!

Think I read somewhere that it has an electric winder. Working on a mechanical clock.

An electric winder working on a clockwork clock? That sounds so Heath Robinson! I can almost imagine a cartoon gloved hand on the end of a mechanical arm popping out and turning the winder!Gee tc wrote: Tue Dec 04, 2018 11:56 pm Think I read somewhere that it has an electric winder. Re: Mk3 Clock
The best thing would be to get a working used one. They were not that reliable when new. I have a friend who repairs electronic stuff and says not the easiest thing to reliably repair. youtube link to working VDO Keinzle clock as fitted by Triumph.

VDO, crikey....the same people who make tachographs. The better ones anyway. That video almost makes me want to dig the clock out of my Mk2 and study more closely how its meant to work...which it doesn't.
