Hi all,
A question or two, to throw at you if you wouldn't mind. Can you fit a 1.3 gearbox to a 1.7 'O' series engine (and also swapping to a 20 spline driven clutch plate)? And/Or, is it possible to easily swap the input shafts between the two gearboxes? Got a 'Whiney' 2nd and 3rd on my current G/box. I did see another thread as regards the same 'whine' issue and yes, I do have plenty of clean oil in there. I'm not so keen on a complete Gearbox dismantle, so i was looking if there is an easier route if there is one.

Dave, it is physically possible with the 1.3 clutch. However the intermediate gears are different, to reflect the lower power and torque of the 1.3, so you might find driving the car with a 1.3 gearbox a bit frantic through the gears.

Thanks for the advise. maybe a job for next year. i still have my Victor to sort and a clutch to fix on my Neval 650.
