Many of you will know Keith Lyon and his blue MK2 1.3 Saloon, more recently refurbished and driven by Paul Utting. Long time club member and keen attendee of classic car shows passed away on Sunday after a 2 year fight against cancer. His funeral is as follows - Funeral is on Wed 4th March at 11.30 at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent. DE72 2AF. I will be attending for myself and on behalf of the club.

You may or may not know, but Keith generously donated £5000 to the club last year, showing his attachment to the cars and the club.

As well, as a Marina owner and club member, Keith was a long time ‘birder’ and environmentalist and in his honour we would like to collect donations to the RSPB in his name. The pot stands at £50 right now. PayPal donations can be made at donations@morrisital.org.uk

I did not know him personally. But very sad news my condolences to his family. The donation is unbelievably generous that in itself deserves a very big thank you

Hi David, you probably met him at last years Nationals, he came along with a Paul Utting. Thin guy, straggly beard/moustache.

Became good mates with keith over the years a good chap and of course and of coarse a mk2 man I will be going to funeral on the 4th
