Renzo’s Jubilee

All,

Renzo’s Jubilee will be featured in one of the monthly classic car mags shortly. The editor likes to do background Interviews (by email questionnaire) with previous owners and he would like to contact person that did the restoration, he’s holding off on publication until he can speak to the restorer. I have exhausted my contacts, so I need your help.

Do any you know who did the restoration and do you have any contact details? All contributions gratefully received.

Hi,
Didn't this belong to a guy named Emrys?
I understand that if it's the same one,
then it was sold after he passed away?

Emrys Thomas? I think you are right.

I’m so sure it was restored by a guy called Barry living in the midlands but don’t know anything else about him. He used to come to the NEC each November and tell us about it.

Didn't he buy it off Dave Richardson/Andy Walsingham? I'm sure he had some dealings with them. I supplied a front wing and boot lid but can't find the details in my book of contacts,,,,,,,,,pieces of scrap paper! The name Barry certainly rings a bell.

It was restored by Barry who bought it from Dave Richardson. After Barry restored the car, It got sold to Emrys Thomas Who passed away. Now with Renzo.
I to don't have record of Barry's surname.

Looks like the owner responsible for the restoration indeed passed away.

Quoting the lancaster interview: "Tim found his Morris ‘on eBay nearly three years ago. The story, as I understand it, is that it had been lovingly restored by the previous owner who sadly passed on before he could really enjoy it’."

Was it Emery that had the V8 ST pickup and something else?
I’m sure he sold them as he realised he was never going to get around to restoring them and bought the Jub already done.

I searched the forum for Jubilee and Barry, and got hits for posts from MarinaMadBaz. Is he the Barry concerned?

Yes Emrys bought it already restored. He had quite a fleet of cars including a really tidy Harvest Gold saloon. I remember it being up for sale when he bought it and the ad included resto pics, but no sign of who did it!
