1974 with 22k on the clock, red, 1.8 single card, a webasto roof and off the road for a couple of years means it's likely to be this one.

I am no expert on values but it seems the most sought after are TC coupés and early commercials. Naturally extra low mileage ones or fully restored ones make a premium.

I know this particular one.
In very nice original showroom condition. If you were to compare it to one we know..then equal in nick to Kev Shepards tundra coupe.
One father and daughter owner from new. Even has original paint runs on the bootlid edges. Gets trailered to and from shows.
Now... it anyone can supply the owner with two front screen windscreen/scuttle plastic drain grommets..... he'd really appreciate it.

Hi Tony, didn't think MK1 had screen drains fitted?

Screen drains started to appear in late 1974. My 75 MK1 had rear drain tubes fitted. The holes were there for the front drain tubes but had grommets fitted over them (plus the usual rust associated with the drain tube design!). All models were fitted with the Deluxe type plastic screen trims by 1975.

Here's a nice pic I took at Southport a couple of years ago. You can see the expensive sliding sunroof.Image

What make of sunroof is that in the Marina , it doesn't look like the BRITAX sliding type sunroof or the WEBASTO type.

It was dealer fitted not long after purchase according to the owner when I last spoke a few years ago.

Tony is the sunroof the type where it is a bit like the FORD ones that slides inside not the fold back type like I have on my TC coupe they are quite rare.

Paint looks in amazing condition if its original; Damask is very susceptible to fading. Interesting colour coded vinyl roof.

You could have a pair of seasonal Marinas Tony. This one for summer with the roof open and HTL for winter!

I have to say that the paint is original and factory fresh still. It also has a fully documented history file which I've seen.
If the car does sell then whoever gets it will be amazed at how good it is.
Sad about the circumstances as the owners seemed to be really nice people.
