So I've secured a 1978 1.3 from the precipice of being broken up too much to come back from oblivion, its been used as a donor for a morris minor which is fair enough really.
So my thinking is at this stage is that it will have the front legs without hubs and no rear axle when I pick it up.

What I'm looking at doing is to fit an MGB axle (lash it on temporarily with ratchet straps 52" wide I believe they are so unsure if that's too narrow for the wheel tubs, and maybe look to find some mgb pcd hubs to fit so it can roll on mgb wheels right from the get go
I hear 10cwt van front hubs are the way to go but in the absence of those maybe some 3.75 pcd dolomite hubs as a temporary measure will fit as I've got some of those, I do have the ital sat here but not really wanting to start pillaging it for bits but will borrow parts off it if needs be!

Speak to Martin Wallis, he should have Marina parts to fit, to save you McGyver-ing an MGB axle into place.

Do you know it has front legs or are you just guessing? Martin recently rescued a car that had been raped for a Minor and all the front suspension was missing.

Yeah that was my fear so I went to view it and agreed with the chap that I really could do with the kingpins etc as minor ones just wouldn't cut it
So yes it would literally just have stub axles unfortunately.
In theory if I had a spare axle and hubs I could just pass those to him and then it saves removing an axle to refit one immediately
I'm not presumptive of assistance but certainly grateful for any given, I'm unaware of Mr Wallis being new to the community but if he's possibly up for supply that would be great

I've a pair of van hubs (MGB PCD) should it help.

Yeah that's the one, it did have panels to repair but then those were siphoned off and now running gear bits have been taken out, so it's basically very much at its last reprieve!

got some bits here if you get stuck

That's really appreciated Baz, the marina may be straightenable with some judicious hammers/dolly work and patching but the ital is certainly needing panels where they have gone too far so I'll generate a list and see what the scope of repair to replacement ratio is like!

Getting it rolling is covered now, an MGB axle is in stock, and huge thanks go to Ben for sorting out some matching pcd hubs a total gentleman!
I've already got the rostyles so just need tyres for those
Then it's sort of set for pickup!
I'm considering that I've got a dolomite sprint gearbox and E6 2.2 engine also sat in the vicinity!

So I'm thinking to maybe use this sherpa gear box as it looks decent enough to adapt onto the 2.2 princess engine, it has a lt77 spline common to the 1.8 marina gearbox so there's loads of clutch plates to choose from instead of the older 10spline boxs, the gear lever looks to come up somewhere about right too.
So just a custom flywheel and adapter to make.

FYI Leyland Australia fitted the 2.6 E6 with an adaptor that allowed them to use the same bellhousing as the alloy V8 in the P76, so a LT77 V8 bellhousing would bolt up to that adaptor. I'm not sure if they used the same crank tail as the fwd E6. Kelvin may be able to look up that info in his parts manual, or Carle or Darren may know the details.

Thanks all, that is very helpful, the fwd e6 comes in 2 variants the manual gearbox engine is hopeless as its like a mini engine, however I struck lucky and found an automatic engine with a sump adapter piece and a convention crank flange for the torque convertor!
What would be handy is if the auto bw35 fwd bellhousong was a B series pattern,,now that would be easy!
