I have two gearsticks. Neither of them have the anti-rattle spring and ball.
Are they really necessary?
Does anyone have dimensions of the same?
Cheers, Robin

Well, they do what they say on the can, if yours doesn’t rattle or vibrate as you drive along then leave them out. They are available new as the gearbox and stick mechanism is shared by the Triumph Spitfire, Dolomite & TR7.
BL re-used an existing spring from the gearbox synchros, into the gearstick shaft.

The nylon cap is also available.
