Hi there... My Coupe needs welding for the MOT.

It needs the usual spot - Sill end & rear jacking point (N/S)

Can anyone help ?
Not been a member of the club for a couple of years (will be very soon)
Am I right in thinking this is one of the parts that have been re-manufactured?

Any help appreciated.
I'm off this week so could do with getting it sorted ASAP.

Cheers
Rob

Hi,
I think the club only has front jacking points re-made and not the rear!
you need to speak to Ben or Richard Clayton as I think there may also be a waiting time if there is no stock held of the parts!

Cheers,
Paul.

Luching!? Nah don't get them on the Island mate! LOL.

Welding type people.. Are there any good classic car builders around your area? Don't send it to be done by some scally mechanic that might only "plate" it up! It deserves a decent job!

:( Hi Rob...sorry i can`t help on that one mate...but at least the offside should be ok, i think i did that one when i fitted the new sill  , i can make a couple of spring hanger repair plates to match the other side for you if that helps?, then all you have to do is find someone to fit them for you properly

Hey Frank !

Yeah - the other side looks immaculate ;)
I've sorted a hanger & jacking point (a repair panel fairy PM'd me ;))

Any chance you could pop over to the Workshop thread and give me some pointers ? I think I might give this a go... my welding isn't that bad.

Rob

Cheers !

I would also take off your stilettos when you enter your garage Matty just in case you loose your balance when stretching out on one foot trying to reach that part that just outwith arms length
