Good News: :D

JBL is now up and running. Needs tuning up and one of the HS6 filters is hitting the body so need to adjust that. Oh and she ran out of petrol so need to get some more but no misfires or leaks which is good :)

Bad News:
The vinyl roof had some rips in and water has got under and destroyed the adhesive, so the roof was peeling up a lot. A small tug and this happened

So there was nothing for it....

Gave it a good clean with soapy water which removed about half the remaining adhesive and will have to get the rest off later. So now I have a pink and blue Marina! At least it's distinctive

:D Never mind Sam...we can paint a few white stripes over it...and with a bit more blue it could be a shaguar lookalike!
Seriously though, looks like we will have to paint her before next years season ay! ...i think i know a man that can

hahah that's what I said to Ben & Furze Frank! Big union flag on the roof would add a touch of class I think

On the plus side she is slightly more original now

Yeah I have heard about the best Marina sprayer in the south, Quickspray McPhillips

It's small wonder that happened Sam.Have you seen the size of ship a "small tug" can pull?  .Do you live near the Sea ?

Is that vinyl roof black or blue? Looks blue in the picture!
I like the Marina that appears on some of the brouchers, and it is red with blue vinyl and blue seats to match roof! Given a chance I would like to re-do one in those colours! But I will finish mine first.

White Spirit is great for glue removal and won't hurt the paint

Some of that vinyl glue can really stick

I think one at a time!
Sounds like you will have enough to do another then??

Not doing one yourself?
How is yours coming on?
Got any new Jubilee Badges?

"Got any new Jubilee Badges? "

I wish

However I have sorted a couple more bits for you which I'll get in the post shortly

If you do find another similar project for Frank to sort I probably could supply the panels

My Jubilee is still in my Mams' garage

Paul the roof that was on there was black. Will get the white spirit on the roof this weekend weather permitting then tcut the whole thing as the paint is patchy to say the least!

Need to take the bottom dash off and change some switches round as I put them on the wrong way  and look at my screen wash pipes as I noticed on yours the pipes go from the bottom to the little thing below then into the body. Mine does not. I don't even know if the washers work. I may break out the extra strong bleach as well and give it a good scrubbing!

Oh and Ben I picked up some £4.89 oil from Asda as well and thought of you :p

It's the ongoing joke in my office that I always have black oil smudges somewhere on my arms!

I find it quite therapeutic until I start dropping stuff! The worst was when I lost the bloody thing that holds the choke cable to the carbs

just wait until you start doing engine rebuilds and the oil gets stuck under your nails then the folk in your work will really start to wonder lol

Oh I go in with black nails all the time! Changing the head over and taking the exhaust manifold off repeatedly saw to that
