I think my mugshot's appeared on here a couple of times already courtesy of Al Williams.
I know him through having worked at the same place and both being more than a little crazy for Retro motors...
Last year I sold him Attila the Suntor, a decision I came to regret, but was done for reasons at the time. Due to a change in his circumstances I have bought it back and this time it's staying!! 8)
Have got plans for it, but nothing too outrageous. I do hear that Metro Turbo parts will fit easily though *cough*

Welcome mate! Shame to hear Al had to sell it but looks like it has found a good home..(again!)
Yes with a bit of fiddling Metro Turbo parts will fit! Good luck and keep us all updated! How is Al by the way?

That's brilliant, cheers.
Bought it via e-bay last year from a chap in Sheffield, got it brought down to where I was living & working at the time (Aylesbury) but ended up selling it to Al and delivering it back up country for him!!
It's still on his drive so I'd best get it back before he changes his mind again!!
Have got all the Metty turbo parts needed (I think) but won't be doing too much to it initially, checking it's OK etc before I start getting too silly with the engine.
Would also like to bring the ride height down a bit. Anyone got any lowering blocks etc?

For the lowering kit you will need to get them from a company in North Yorkshire called Motorscope.
http://www.motoscope.co.uk
They won't have them listed on the site but they are a grayston Engineering supplier so you will need the following part numbers:
GE26: Marina extra long U bolts
Standard Escort Mk2 lowering blocks (1", 1.5" etc)
Let me know if you get stuck!

Damn typical.
Sold a set of Escort lowering blocks on e-bay last year that I'd had lying around since the 90s...

The blocks I sold were 2". Probably something similar, but depends on what wheels I go for I guess.
