I am sure it is not that anyone disbelieved your reasons but it was unexpected, as you had searched and found an amazing example of a Marina to own it for a few days!
But that is life and life is not always fair!
I am sure if the opportunity rose again you will hunt for another good one!
Are you doing the work yourself? Judging by the fast progress of your build there you could restore a car in no time!
