It certainly looks like a spam attack is imminent. Is there not a way to approve or reject each new member/ profile?

Yes I know. I've made it so that new members have to be activated first so we don't get spammed so thats why you see the username but not any posts from them. I have to currently delete them manually but was away at the weekend so it has built up slightly.

I have found some software to battle this so will get that on ASAP.
