Sounds like fun Larry...how about 7 English wonders.....
1, The Jet engine.
2, Winston Churchill
3, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
4, The Thames Barrier.
5, William Shakespeare,
6, The Spitfire
7, The Duke of Wellington.
not nescessarily landmarks i agree but great english wonders nonetheless!!, as it happens one of my all time heroes was a Scot, his name was Hugh Dowding, and i think you will agree if it were not for his vision in the late 30`s we would all be speaking German now

, and banter like this would be VERBOTEN!!
As for nicknames on cars, well the convertible is called Steve, and the van is called Vinnie

8) the most modern wonder has to be the Falkirk Wheel its amazing.
As for inventors we have got you well licked.
1. logie baird for the telly.
2. james watt for the steam engine.
3. alexander fleming for the penicillin.
4. bell for the phone.
5. macadam for the roads.
6. dunlop for the pneumatic tyre. to name half a dozen off the top of my head.
then there is rabbie burns and walter scott on the poetry side. francis bacon is supposed to have written a lot of shakespeares work. that man has bored the arse off school kids for the last 400 years he has a lot to answer for..mind you brunel was one of my heroes. jeremy clarkson that well known -insert rude word here- done a great documentary on brunel.

Well Larry I don't fancy your chances, but as Captain Sensible said"If you don't have a dream!!"
Anyway there's no such thing as a "Good Rangers Man" as I kick the ball with the Left Foot myself.
Indeed a delegation shall travel to Selkirk as we've got some pillaged sheep and cattle to recover on the way home.
