Tales of old cars...

These were some old cars sent in by a former member, Eddie K from Liverpool, who says the following:
"The Marina MK1 1.3 was a very basic car, I had it for about five years, it was a taxi for about 12 months and had done the 100,000 miles by the time I put it to grass on a trade in for the beige Ital.
The beige Ital I bought for £2000 it was a 1800 HLS model and only four years old when I bought it. It was perfect inside and out, very reliable and comfy. It was in the same condition as the photo when I foolishly sold it for £500 only to find that a few moths later it had been left to rot after it had been vandalised. I offered to buy it back, but by the time the owner had got back to me, I had another car.
The bronze Ital I had for approximately eight years, five of which it was kept in my lock up garage, after having a full respray with new wings/vinyl roof/tyres/clutch - again this was a 1800 HLS, it was spotless inside and out and had done only 71,000 miles since new with only two owners. I sold it to a dealer approximately three years ago basically because I was told by [name] that no-one is interested in these fine cars, your web site tells a different story. I regretted selling it as soon as I saw it going on the back of the wagon and I was only given £350 for it. I do get upset when I think about it."
