Well done Jan- Ivor, she is certainly a nice looking beast. Don’t you think that the Grilles on the Australian models like rather Datson like?

yes the grille looks very 70s Datsun :)
Although the outer edge of the grille is plastic , the complete unit is actually much heavier than the "european" ones. This is because the black middle bit is made of heavy /thick gauge metal. As you might have guessed i have changed the lights for LHD already :)

he he - whish it was my hair, but the pic is of my son :) (i've told him to get a hair-cut but - well i seldom listened to MY parents so i guess it runs in the family  )
here is a "sort of" engine bay pic - its actually a pic of changing the lights ro lHD.

Took it to the official import check today and it failed because they couldn't find something we in norway call maximum weight. i.e. what the car is constructed to take before it brakes down (incl. people/luggage/etc) We found the curb-weight in some litterature that i brought with me. but that wasn't enough. Neither could they use the maximum weight from the papers on my TC as that was only a 1.8 :(
well i have to do some serious reading, and if i can't find it anywere the only way is to send an application to use the marina TC - specification on the maximum load weight.
Last pic is of the car at the import control, the tester was actually a quite nice fella - guess he was just doing his job...

Jan Ivar, straight from my book..... The maximum vehicle loading is 396kg (875 lbs), equivalent to 5 persons plus luggage weighing 56kgs (125 lbs)
If you have the original blue owners instruction manual, it is on page 19.

That's the same for Aussie 4's or 6's. So just add your rego weight of 970kg for Deluxe auto coupe or 995kg for Super auto coupe (I can't remmember which one you have) and that should do it.

I can copy some of this and email it if you need it.

That car looks a peach Jan Ivar, please tell me it's only seeing dry/summer use as that will rot quicker than you can say it come the salty and icy roads.
One other thing, check the thermostat as I guess it is running a hot climate type.

Spot on !! Thanks . i've ordered a retest (earliest available is one month from now) But i guess i just use it on temp-plates while waiting

Marinast: The changing of the thermostat is on my to-do list as it barely moves past C old when used ...
Come winter its headed for the barn until the summer-sun waken it up again :)
