OK i know this should be in the off topic section but the story is so good i placed it on here,i seem to think it may be an urban legend but a good one all the same.

It is true as the hand held radar gun can't produce accurate results under a flight path. I got pinned at East Craigs in Edinburgh a couple of years back by a copper with a speed gun. Once he flagged me over to read me the riot act and "teach me a lesson" I then turned the tables around. Firstly I asked him for the serial number of the speed gun, then I asked him if it was calibrated that morning and then finally I reminded him that he was directly under a flight path with a plane flying overhead approx every 3 minutes. Needless to say he told me to p155 off and I got away scot free. They soon got back into their panda car and moved on!

I hope it's true,i got knocked off for doing 46mph in a 40mph zone,the road was clear and there was no traffic anywhere this was on a piece of dual carriageway and down hill as well, then a copper jumped out from behind a bush and nicked me,couldn't believe it,wish they were that keen when i got my car nicked,and my shed broken into three times,and the two burglaries i have had at home.
