Sunday 2nd August, this is the application form:
BMC/BL Show August App Form
I will probably be there but very unlikely to be going in the Marina as my dad refuses to drive it that far

Hi Josh loads mate, expect around 30 - 35 Marinas/Itals if it is dry/sunny and 25 cars if it is wet/windy.
It's also probably the best BL autojumble around short of Beaulieu - loads of rare and unusual Marina/Ital bits last year.
Cadge a lift - see you there.

Around 90 miles each way? says a lot for your old man's confidence in the Marina, I regularly clocked up between 12 and 18 hundred miles per week in my pickup, if your'e worried, join the AA, just tell him although the Clio will do 45 MPG, probably have a decent wireless, aircon etc,the Marina will be an adventure, you've never lived until you've seen your car being dragged home on the back of a AA beavertail.

In todays money around about £240 per week in petrol alone! never mind lube oil & consumables such as Ginsters pasties, crisps, & pop   , still at 20 pence per mile that I charged my former employer, the young lad earned nearly as much as me

I've not camped there but I believe that it's pretty basic. Ferry Meadows is part of a large council country recreation area, open fields, lakes etc. There is a proper toilet block and a cafe however.
You could try contacting the organisers as they lay on a hog roast and live music for those that stay overnight.
Has anyone camped out at Ferry meadows.

No decent wireless? What's my 8-track for then

No air-con? It's got windows that wont suddenly fail when the electrics go
My dad doesnt like driving the Marina, he has knee problems from years of kneeling whilst working on massive diesel engines and generators at work and his knees keep hitting the steering wheel, as such he finds it rather uncomfortable. He also says it's noisy, is crap round corners etc etc etc
