Yay !!
Ben has activated the garage and so I've added my story of shame to the gallery.

This was my first car with my brother and I still have it almost 25 years later. (Unfortunately not in running condition..
) Generally the plan is to get it sorted over the next couple of years but that has been the plan for a while now. I must say that this forum and Bens original site have definitely re-kindled interest in the car for me although I still have 3 alfas as well to keep it company.
My plans have always included modifications and there is a re-built 1310cc modded a-series with an Ital inlet/exhaust manifold, matching SU HIF44, K&N filter etc in the engine bay at the moment mated to a re-built 4 speed box. The rear axle was re-built with new bearings and seals, painted etc. The front suspension was re-built with new trunnions and wheel bearings etc along with a Spax tele conversion. The bodywork does'nt have any major rust but the front end was badly repaired in the late 80's after a big front end smash and we followed this up with a piss-poor respray which sort-of finished it off.
Since 1989 it has sat in 3 different garages having small amounts of work done to it on a very occasional basis. This has'nt been helped by the fact that I have spent the last 17 years traveling with my job (3 months of this year so far has been spent in the U.S.)
But, I still plan to keep and finish the car. My ideal spec changes as I go along but things that have been purchased and are lying in wait are a pair of rear 'vertical' shocks to complete a turret conversion just like the works cars. I would really, really like an LSD and so I'm very interested in the Dolly sprint conversions that have been taking place. I just have to figure out a way to get discs on the back and I'm away.
I'm planning to put tramp bars as per the works cars on too. For front brakes, I am planning to use Wilwood alloy 4-pot calipers with 255mm vented discs. My main modification that I would like to do is a 1.8 K-series and type-9 box but that will have to wait till the bodywork is done. I have been gathering panels quietly over the last year and once I'm finished with the rear quarters on one of the alfas, I should be ready to start...
Hope this encourages others to tell their story.
