Is this racing Marina running standard Dolomite wheels?
This is the same car running iirc Superlite (sp?) wheels (same as Kilroys iirc)
This car was originally raced in NZ by Glen Thompson (check the link from http://www.AustinMarina.com) in the late '90s and early 2000s with an 1800 B-series, but has since been fitted with a 1750 E-series by new owner Steve Moon (raced 2003-2008). It's still registered for the road, although it hasn't raced this year afaik.

It has an Aussie shell, identified by the rhd wipers. (Why did the English cars persist with lhd wipers to the end? :? )

The site is Waddington - its on the inland scenic route between Oxford and Glentunnel.
It was a well-planned run, setup like a car rally - quite a variety of makes and models.
Great fun.

At one stop on the run, I was parked next to a Bentley Turbo. I was not sure if the owner would speak to me - considering his obvious status wot.?






He came straight over - "My folks used to have a Marina just like that..!"
"Yeah? My folks had a Bentley - and they swapped it for a Marina!"
