I never relly understood the concept of twin horns.
On my TC there are twin horns, but still it sounds almost as "girly" as the 1,3's single horn setup. Maybe only one of the horns are working? Both are wired in though. Are both horns supposed to be the same or is it a high/low tone setup? Should they both sound at the same time or whatäs the deal really?

Re: Twin horns
Hi,
The twin horns should be one high tone and one low tone, both should sound together.
On my car only one was working and the link wire which puts power on the second one was broken.
I think the idea is to cover more wide range of tone to attract more attention when sounded. I think they are louder with both running! bit like the new ambulances.
I there is a adjustment screw on the back which is sealed in a set position, you may find that this will tune the horns high and low and is then set at factory and marked. There are people who repair these and recondition them as they are getting hard to find, but I have never known one to fail as it is normally the wiring that gives up first as the position gets all the weather.
They should be marked

I re-printed the labels on mine!
Hope this helps,
Paul.

Re: Twin horns
Will they not fit under the battery tray in place of the old horns?
I have little space there, that is where the relays are for my fog and spots are as well as my Hooters, as I like to call them
