Quick tech question

Does the van have the same propshaft as the car?

Also, anyone know where I can get an exhaust system from?

OK I know that's two questions. But Attila is moving on swiftly now (as swiftly as a Suntor can anyway  )

The 10cwt/575 van has a shorter propshaft than the saloon, coupe, estate and 7cwt/440. The reason is that the 10 cwt/575 rear axle has a longer snout (diff carrier) than the lighter weight version.

What are you looking for?

The centre bearing's collapsed. There's one on e-bay, but not sure if its the same as the 2-piece prop on the Suntor. Also, it hasn't got the case so it'd need pressing into the old one if that's possible

Hi Mojo, a non related question but out of curiosity is your camper conversion the one that popped onto screen for a few seconds in the 1992(I think) episode of Top Gear?

FWIW regarding prop shafts.
I have used two van prop shafts on my saloons.
That is - the front half - which has the centre bearing on it.
You can uncouple the two halves just aft of the centre bearing, and reuse the original rear half with the donor front.
This got me two good centre bearings.!

Thanks for the replies all. Nice when something goes your way. Got the bearing off e-bay. Just have to wait for the posties to get back to work and deliver it now...

How interchangable are the exhaust parts between the models?
