8) was talking to andy jones tonight about the "j" reg. what way does the early marina propshaft go. is the splined end to the front or the rear or doesnt it matter. andy reckoned the early ones were different to the later ones...............larry

The splined end should always go to the rear, between the centre bearing and the axle. But, saying that, it didn't seem to matter which way round it went, or the front section either as I've seen props with the cush drive at the front/splines rear, cush front/splines front, cush rear/splines front and cush rear/splines rear. I think it was down to who was chucking the bits together at the time.....
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....
