DO I have to use any loctite or gasket glue or hylamar or whatever?

when I fitted mine I cleaned the hole in the block so it was spotless and free of corrosion and the plug fitted nice.
Ithen degreased the area, and put a small amount of Loctite silicone gasket sealer around the hole in the block where the plug rim contacts the block.
then pushed the plug in and tapped it in to lock it.
then another smear of sealer around the outside.

So far fine.
They should be OK with no sealer but I did not want to take any chances due to an old block!

I have ordered core plugs off eBay and I'll pick up some gasket stuff today.

No point in taking chances with it.
