Hi, I have just joined your forum.
I have just won an ebay auction for a Marina. I haven't even seen it, hope it turns out to be ok, I hope to collect it some time next week. I hope to be a regular on your site.
Cheers, Phil.

well it looks decent enough. depends also on what the last owenrs did to the front wing , is it going to be full of filler , as in one of the pics you can see where they have painted over the stripe.
it also says mot expires soon - so when you take it for an mot , see what they say
good luck

Are panels easily obtainable? I did wonder whether the wings would be filler but thought if I can just bolt on some new wings its no big deal. Its MOT'd until April sometime but hasn't been driven for 9 months. With only 40K on the clock, assuming its not 140K and going by his description I'm hoping its not too bad. I am a mechanic and am restoring a Rover 95 at the moment so this will be to do afterwards.

wings do come up now and then and vary in price - £50 second hand up to £100+ for a new one and there welded on , but the club does sell repair sections. if your going to drive it looking at the dvla site the car is currently untaxed. is the car local to you?
i did manage to find a rear wing for £65 a year ago .
is this your first marina - i am still quite new to them and am enjoying them a lot - am getting my new one a week tomorrow and got to drive it back from glasgow to london - should be lots of fun

The fronts welded as well?
Oh dear. That is a shame. Yes I am new to Marinas, I plan on insuring it then hopefully my certificate will arrive before I go to get it and then I can tax it once down there. I have always fancied a Marina because of the shape and they are British!

Yeah the front wings are welded on too - they are fun to drive
i have since joining the club had 3 marinas and 1 ital and that is in just under 2 years , so not bad going.

Thanks for the pic, you managed to get it bigger than I could, it actually looks quite tidy. Is it likely to be very rotton? I guess it can't be that bad if it has been MOT'd in the last year. What are they like on fuel?
Is Martin Green on this forum?

well with out actually seeing the car - could not say about how solid it is - mot wise all depends on the garage it went to . as for martin green - i don;t know him , but others on here might

I see the car is in Devon. Are you local to the area?
Congrats and good luck with your new motor.

Welcome
Looks to be alright, it has been on eBay a few times with different sellers, let's hope this time it finds a more permanent new home
