before i go putting the stripes on my coupe i thought id ask how rare these are ? as the ones i got are still in the original BL box.
If these are rare would it be worth me seeing if i could get a signwriting firm or such like to get them remanufactured?
they Look like the ones on AOX with enough to go over the doors.

Definitely be good to get some remanufactured. I'd definitely be interested in some for my Coupe and doubtless you could sell a few sets through the club or even ebay. Be interested in what happens.

i know jims first coupe had st stripes painted on by frank looked the dogs dangleys dont know if i have any pic's of it he had it over the boot lid as well.

iirc these days most vehicle signwriting is laser cut vinyl. Would it be possible to get a signwriting firm to scan them and create a pattern file that can be used to produce "genuine" copies?

The ones on AOX are painted on.

I'd suggest getting a price for 5 sets and then advertise on here to see what the interest is.

I am sure when they scan them or copy them a computer file will be produced. You want to make sure you get your hands on this and not just the re-produced stripes!

As you will be paying them confirm they will supply the files so you can go anywhere to get them made.
If they say they will not do this then go else where as they don't own the rights they are doing a service for you!
Also once done back the file up in a few places so if anything happens to the originals it is not a problem

been and seen a guy today who is real keen to do the stripes he was impressed that the stripes had kept well and did not know that vinyl been around that long. He has meaursed them and is going to imput them on his computer and get back to me with a price,
i have suggested that we do some white stripes and some black as these were the orginal options from ST
but later we can get different colours if required. have also found out that these will fit saloons as well as coupes cant see why they wont go on any other models, they will also fit the maxi range,

so who is iterested so far ?

A black set of stripes would look good on my TC so definitely interested if the price is right.

Hi Guys have now got a price for the stripes to be remade
if i order 5 sets they will £45.00 + vat plus what ever it costs for P&P i will also copy the origninal instructions to go with it

the stripes are now with the sticker guy who is scanning them and will be ready next week

Have now got the stripes in stock now and because i paid the guy cash he did not charge me VAT so price for the stripes is £45.oo plus P&P those of you who already placed an order i will be in contact shortly once i cost up the postage.
