I have a club stand already arranged-please call Michael (show organiser ) on 01803 762967 if you would like to register to join us. ( mention MMOC club stand )
So far we have 3 cars-same as last year but it would be nice to have a few more. Great show on the sea front with lots to do.

Just a reminder for anyone in the Torbay area on Sunday and not much to do.
Its a great show with a good mix of cars. Be great to see any of you.
Dave B-looks like the weather could be much like last year................

Have to be honest with you, if the weather is the same as last year, I will not be driving approx. 90 miles in the rain!
I know that sounds a bit wimpish, but it's the time spent cleaning after that's the problem, or lack of time to do it properly
The forecast at this end isn't too bad, so I'll just have to wait and see what Sunday brings :| Hope to be there

Well we had another tyre issue that day.
From leaving the stand and driving across the green somehow I managed to bring a tyre off the rim. No idea how it happened as it was up when I set off and only travelled 100 yards on grass!
My compresser I normally keep in the car was taken out with the box of spares I took to the nationals and I havent a spare wheel-only got the 4 alloys.
I borrowed fruitys jack but he couldn't find his jacking handle. So with using a very short screwdriver I jacked the front up on the grass ( fortunately the ground is still hard down here from the lack of rain! ) fruity had taken his socket set out the day before but found a socket that would fit and a very small ratchet. It was a test of strength to get the nuts off!!! Then I borrowed fruitys standard 155 tyred spare and drove home.
Then not far from home there had been an accident. As some idiot pushed through I had to swerve violently to avoid him and caught the front wheel on the kerb-one chunk missing and scraped all the way round. Gutted.
Anyway I went to a garage and blew the tyre back up and tested it for leaks with some water and its holding pressure fine-bit of a mystery.........

Sorry to hear about your wheel Dave.
Looks like a nice day though. Wish I'd have come now, although maybe my Marina would have lowered the tone next to those three beauties!

Wish I had stayed a bit longer now, my jack and handle could do with a bit of use. All tied up in the original bag in the boot!
Sorry you had all that hassle

That's a bummer David
I must say the rubber on those rims is a bit stretched, looks like a wider tyre would be better as it may help keep the pressure on the rim edge. This is only my view after what you mentioned above and looking closer at your wheels. Plus I am not an expert on tyres or rims so probably a load of rubbish
Plus I have to make sure my wheel nuts are a bit tighter in the future
On the bright side the car is still in one piece and a wheel can be sorted but a pain all the same.

I agree-the tyres look stretched on those rims but they are what came on them. Considering 205's but will wait for my possible new wheels

Some of the vee- dub lot have tyres a
lot more stretched than that without any serious problems.
Of course, having proper tyres on that fit the rims do stop you clobbering them on any kerbs you find
Seriously though, sorry to hear that- they really suit the car (even Adam- my navigator on the Dawlish run- grudgingly admitted that your car was really rather cool). Hopefully we'll make the show next year- couldn't afford the petrol this year, it's out of MOT still too. Hopefully only until tomorrow though!
