Isle of Wight - Presidents Weekend 28/29/30 August

I have just booked into the Channel View Hotel in Shanklin, hang out of dubious types like the MMOC Chairman and others with freaky hair-dos. All the single rooms have gone and so I have booked a double bedded room on a bed and breakfast basis, effectively booking for two.

http://www.channelviewhotel.co.uk/ AA three star.

Is there anyone wanting to go who will be looking for accomodation for the Saturday and Sunday nights, who would interested in sharing the cost of the room - not expensive.

If you are bringing your car, you'll obviously have ferry costs on top, but if your car won't be ready then there would be a spare seat in my car for the weekend, for a share of the petrol if you are interested?

PM me.

A one day return with a car would be under £40, or travelling Saturday morning around 8-9am and coming back Monday about 6pm (which is what I plan to do) will be £66.50 for one or two people.

Thanks. A really stupid question, do you need a passport? I've never needed a passport so don't have one.

When I last checked the Isle of Wight was still in the UK (maybe Frank can confirm), so no, no passport.

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, therefore you do not need a passport if you are travelling from other parts of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales)
