brilliant
just means a trip to wales then to get my spare tyres and refit the tow bar , then back to london rent an a frame (£10 a day and £130 deposit) and tow the car back to wales to strip the scrap car - might need to buy a shed for me dads garden to store all the spares lol

as crash bang said he towed an rover sd1 with a citroen around the m25 with my a frame. and i have towed an marina up the m23 and m25 with a mk6 escort.
But if you read the law the a frame is for recovery perposes only and you should not got over your vehicles unbraked towing weight so towing a marina with a marina is technically not allowed due to the weight of the car being towed and you trying to stop it with the brakes on one car

The vehicle being towed also needs to be road legal- it doesn't count as a trailer, despite what some people seem to think.
That said, most people seem to get away with it, and I certainly wouldn't worry about it- just pointing it out.

I used my 1750 Coupe to tow my Mini race car on a tandem axle trailer. Was ok as long as I took it gently. Fitted a pair of door mirrors, so I could see if I was holding up traffic.

also check your driving licence as after 1996 there were limits added
like me and my wife hold a licence a year apart i can tow anything like a caravan etc but my wife can not she can only tow a very small box trailer just a few thoughts there are man y people who are not aware of this and do it anyway
