Typical ain't it? I struggle to find a decent enough Marina, and these people find them easily, get them cheap and bring them to Suffolk! If only they did something different with them....

Whilst I find the whole idea of banger racing classic cars annoying, there is a flip side to the coin.

The good cars which last are going to be at a premium and more exclusive.

I don't think calling the chap a knob, is going to help the situation either.

In my experience, folk who race a specific make/model car are often member's of clubs or forum's.

Food for thought......

Perhaps some of the part's are being re cycled, to the Moggy Minor clubs!

Again, what we see as perfectly restorable and what other's see, can more often than not be two totally different things.

I don't know the rules of banger racing and how many "ventilation holes" you are permitted from standard, so can't say how bad the cars are.....

I am in the process of rebuilding the track Ascona and bought an accident damaged vehicle, I offered all the useless parts to me, free to other enthusiasts.

But I guess not everyone is that generous! :)

I think something that is accident damaged is a totally dfferent story if it has been classed as write off or uneconomical to repair but is still driveable and the banger boys get it well fair play but most of these banger cars look like solid cars well worth saving there are probably worse vehicles sitting in peoples garages it makes me wonder where these people find these cars as they don't even seem to make it to fleabay

Perhaps try contacting Tim and Alex racing direct? can't hurt.....

Just noticed in the last pic a very early Toyota Corolla......

All very boring in the day, much the same as the Marina.
