Twinwood End of Season Get Together Twinwood Airfield, Clapham, Beds

The show is open to all pre 1981 vehicles including Veteran and Classics, Hot Rods and Americans, Custom and Replicas. Entrance also includes access to the Glenn Miller, Fire Service, WAAF and other fascinating museums reflecting WW2 “home front” music and entertainment for all the family, games in aid of EA Air Ambulance. Club stands, Trade stands and autojumble stalls are available. Separate areas are reserved for the display of post 1981 special interest vehicles and modern motorbikes. Members of the public are also welcome. Pre 1981 vehicle owners will receive a glass memento of the event while stocks last and entry into a free cash prize draw. Show vehicles £6pp, general public £8, children £3.

Our 2010 show included 2 visitors from your forum and we were very pleased to welcome them to our show. We hope to see more of you this year and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time and a relaxing day. Our aim is to bring together all types of pre 1981 car lovers (or built in a pre 1981 style) who have their own favourites but still appreciate other people's pride and joy. Put that together with the fabulous World War 2 surroundings, amazing museums and entertainment, it's well worth a visit! (and we'll keep you away from Oak trees!)

If you'd like to come as a club, log onto our web site and fill in our club pre-booking form so that we can guarantee you a spot together, otherwise just turn up on the day as individuals.

Just a reminder that our End of Season Get Together is coming up shortly at the old WW2 RAF station Twinwood in Clapham, Beds. Last year we had a great selection of classic cars as well as other vehicles of all types.

Our web site has recently been updated with photos and a report on our July show. We were delighted to see that so many people embraced the concept for Clapham Classic Events shows to come along and enjoy what is not just a car show but also to chillax-to-the-max. For some this meant a combination of checking out the amazing variety of vehicles on show, browsing around the museums, listening to the music, entering competitions and so on. Others just relaxed by their beautiful cars with a picnic and enjoyed the atmosphere.

If the car survives the trip to the Isle Of Wight and back then I'll be coming with you Chris. This was a great day out last year and looks to be even better this year. Any more takers?????
