Polyurethane bushes

Post by Mrs C » Fri Nov 19, 2010 7:48 pm

Evening all!
Just me again with some stupid questions, getting over excited at modernising the car for everyday use! :D
I have been considering fitting poly bushes to help stiffen things up before I consider lowering my Marina mkII 1.8 SDL. However, whilst hunting through the superflex and powerflex websites, it seems that these people do not provide bush kits by application for the older cars.
Can anyone recommend a company that are able to supply me the bushes I need without me having to climb under my car and measure everything?
Thanks
Emma

Emma,

SuperFlex have a whole page for Marinas!

Follow this link it will take you directly to the page

SuperFlex link

I have fitted the whole lot now and can personally recommend them, start with the front tie bar bushes, you'll need four.

Take care when ordering. If you are not sure what you need call them.
Parts listed with a suffix of K is usually a full kit of parts needed to keep the car safe.
SF234-0669K is the part number for four tie bar bushes, two each side.

As Chris says, best thing you can do.... Changing the tie bar bushes and front eye bolt bushes will transform the cars steering and general handling.
I think the others can be left till they need changing but they all might be 30 years old.

One that is not listed are the bushes for mounting the steering rack but Triumph Dolomite SF374-0941 will fit.

Searching the forum should reveal some instalation guides.

Thankyou very much Chris and Jiversteve! I feel like a bit of an idiot now, as I was looking on the Superflex website earlier and completely bypassed BMC, looking for Morris or Rover applications.
