It lives, ha hah ha ah!

Bit of fuel pulled through the vacuum advance hose, charged battery, a quick swap of coil from the dolomite to the Sun Tor and some spare HT leads.

And hey presto, 1275 worth of cc's purr into life!

Runs very well despite not knowing when it last ran.

A good sign was the fresh oil, filter and points!

A number of mates (one with a Daimler SP250 Dart) were about the place today to give morale support, or laugh!

But they all agreed the Marina is running very well with no clatter from the valves and sounds sweet.

Next job will be to free the stuck clutch and start the tin weevil rehousing program.

I'll keep you posted! :D

Well done mate!! Cluch shouldn't be too hard to free! Just get the engine nice and hot. Fantastic news.

I intend to put some fresh fuel in the tank and leave to idle for an hour or so, then place a brick on the clutch pedal over night.

As it cools down the clutch should free....

If not, a more severe method will be employed!

Would'nt free on the starter in gear, so a rear end jack up, start in gear and a stamp on the brakes should give it a large BANG and free up...

Drag the clutch on the drive should clean it up a bit! :)
