Looking really good Gary. All started up but how long till it's actually on the road? Oh bye the way if you're looking for your keys they're in the boot mate   You're right about the cleaning bit Paul. Mine is pushed in and out of the workshop everyday and there is dirt up inside the wheel arches already  Would'nt mind but it only goes 10 yards out and 10 yards back in again.

Spot the battery post covers Paul Lucasssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Just seen those Gary!
Very smart. I guess where you work helps with battery and terminals.
Do you want some original crappy Lucas ones like mine :?:
My battery is now 4 years old as I bought it when I came to collect the car in 2007, hence I carry a battery booster in the boot in case it goes dud.

Oh make sure you fit the battery clamp as it could damage all you hard work!
Is that battery smaller than mine? as my clamp is so close to the rad hose, but it is a heavy duty one.
Not that I am worried about the size of any thing in case you get the wrong end of the stick

should be the same size mate, its a standard 038/015 size as fitted, the covers i had had for years , the battery itself is infact a Yuassa battery with a Lucas battery sticker on it :)

Gary,

I think you will need to fit the original white and yellow plates for the MOT. My TC is a tax exempt "L" registration fitted with black and silver plates, and my MOT tester had to get his reference book out. :?
My car is "borderline", as it was manufactured in 1972 (tax exempt) but not registered until June 1973! White and yellow plates are compulsory from January 1973.
He issued my ticket, but told me to keep the original plates in the boot, just in case :D

Good luck with your MOT test.

Dave B.
