Hi Perkster
I am assuming that you mean the clutch slave and pushrod?
If the piston in the clutch is moving freely, are you saying that the clutch pedal won't move? If so then the master cylinder could be seized, or the pedal itself could be jammed.
If the pedal and master is OK, then the clutch mechanism could be jammed. However the clutch pedal would still move, just the clutch wouldn't release, so this doesn't seem like your problem. The clutch plates do stick to the flywheels if left for several months, particularly over winter.
Clutch master cylinder seized seems the most likely problem to me. There is a NOS one on EBay at the moment.

Can we isolate the problem by using a luggage strap to pull the clutch arm backwards to see if the clutch does mechanically release.

There should be two spring steel prongs on the back of the clutch actuation lever, they locate on the ball pivot in the bellhousng, to make sure that the system works as designed.
Realy dumb question, are they present and are they located around the ball pivot?
If the lever arm won't move, then the clutch slave won't move, then the clutch master won't move.
Steve's suggestion should cover that point. If the lever moves, then its in the hydraulic system, if the lever won't move then its the mechanical part.

Stripped all out again, the two spring steel prongs on the back of the clutch actuation lever, all there and working while out ,, every thing seems all ok with every thing .. so again i put back together and same ,, bleed up, you have a peddle, i goes to the floor and back up, then you try again its solid ,, think im gunna have to try and get a master and slave to try out ,,,

If it works and then doesn't work, then you have to look at the master cylinder. There's not a lot in them to go wrong, have you stripped it down yet? It could be a foreign body inside the reservoir can or dodgy bits of rubber seal sticking the piston?
