Recent damage

Post by James1300 » Mon Jul 04, 2011 10:29 pm

Left my car in a car park whilst I popped into the newsagents for a mere two minutes and upon my return I find this, luckily a witness saw the offending car reverse straight into mine and got the reg, mine was no where near his but I hope the police and insurance throw the book at him and make him cough up for repairs as he drove off from the scene, really gutted this happened, dented the boot and morris badge on the near side, broke the reverse light , pushed in the rear panel and light. Big repair job now.

Yea, I parked it in a pub car park, was away from it for no more than 5 minutes and that happened, he must have been drunk and fled the scene, thank god a witness got the registration, I hope that he gets what he deserves, I cant help thinking it was malicious due to my car being nowhere near where his was parked, about 2 car lengths away, werent many cars in the car park.

Wouldn't have mattered if you were the only two cars in the park, he wouldn't have seen your car or cared. :x

Yea that area was pretty much original aswell now it all has to be filled and messed with thanks to that scumbag,if I can source a new boot it would probably be better as its twisted it out of line and the gaps dont line up anymore, I am still in shock. The police know who it was, they were happy with the details and reg we gave them so he should lose his no claims and Im gona make sure he forks out for repairs, I just hope the insurance company dont try to right my car off for it, even though its still driveable

If you need a hand with a new boot lid and bumper you could try Andy W of the MMOC as his storage workshop is not far from you. It is just outside Leamington.
