Okay, this weekend I am changing out the carrier bearing on my Marina for a nice shiny new one, how easy is this to do? If anyone has any tips also would be appreciated. Has anyone considered a one piece drive shaft for their Marina also.

Cheers,

Chris

Using a hydrolic press makes life easier if you can find a machine shop. As for single piece I would stay away from them as it will put more pressure on the diff causing failure. The single piece idea only works if you have a sliding shaft at the gearbox end like ford sierra/capri etc.

.....to Newcastle to watch the mighty Spurs get turned over once again at St.James' Park by The Mighty Mags !! Three one to The Toon seems to be a popular score for this fixture Ray.Not sure if we'll be able to keep it down to three this year though.
I do recall being present when Newcastle beat Spurs 3-1 in the league cup semi final in 1976 which is making me feel rather old .the year my HL was made as well.Could have been a good year if it hadn't been for Man.City

Indeed we shall see Ray,Newcastle aren't renowned for their consistency.By the way,I'm night shift in the Big City that night so behave yourself or your mugshot may appear on the forum next to a copy of the charge sheet.

Hello all,

Hmmm, Weekend job? well where do I start lol!
I think that this weekend I'll change the distributor for the nice shiny new all electronic one I got on Ebay as I am sick of fiddling with the points setting. If I get around to it I'll take the odd pic and put them on here
Failing that I may fit the hi level brake light I have been thinking about for the past month or so.

I may just sleep all weekend!
But if royal mail get their asses in gear I may be fitting a new master cylinder!

Rob I am trying to get Ben to dig out the one for us to send to you - afraid our garage is somewhat of a mess at the moment!! May be having to move soon though so it will get sorted out soon enough!

That's great Sam, no rush tho, whenever you have the time.
You ain't seen nothing untill you see my garage, it's a double and jam packed with loads of really good and useful stuff (my parents call it junk - HA ! what do they know)
In all seriousness though I am trying to get rid of the stuff I don't use anymore, just can't bear to part with any of it LOL

This weekend I shall mostly be helping Sam with the TC's master cylinder and sorting out/tidying up the workshop. I have a week off next week too!! Bargain.
