Door seals?

Hi all,
Before winter I really want to get some new door seals as mine are leaking rather badly to say the least. Does anybody know where I can buy it by the metre or a roll of it? I know East Kent Trim do them cut to size but they ain't exactly cheap...
Also can someone enlighten to me as to what the profile should be?
I'm guessing it is no longer possible to get them with ochre yellow inside trim is it, or is the old inside trim removable?
That's enough questions for now
Thanks in advance,
Josh.

Hi Josh,
The outer trim is bonded to the inner colour part.
you won't get them the same colour unless you find some new old stock items
Must admit I need front ones to be honest as they are so flat now the door rattles

Just a thought,
If you can park in a secure garage....
Dont close the door completely.
The rubber might bounce back.
Ive done that with mine to try and keep some life
in the old seals.

I was thinking of pulling silicone pipe through the inside of my door seal where the vents are in the rubber to provide some more life
like the pipe used on nitro RC cars

Thanks for the info Paul, will have to have a closer look at the profile and get something ordered before the weather starts to turn too nasty!
Josh.

That sounds like a good tip.
Perhaps the forum needs a top tip catagory just for simple one liners.

Steve, I have not tried it yet but have thought of it.
It may puff out the flat section to regain a seal.
I will use a rubber lube to get it to go and a draw wire but not sure if it will work yet.
My door seals were off the car for 3 years and they showed no signs of puffing up so I would imagine once they are flat they will always be like it.
With the new rear door seal I have the doors are a bugger to shut as they are so springy
I had thought about swapping front to back but they are different lengths so I will try the above at some point.

Just had a quote from East Kent Trim, about £195 for four door seals, rear window chrome and under door glass seals, not too bad so will probably order them when my student loan comes through.
Does anybody know if their gutter trim will fit the Marina?

I have there gutter trim in my loft. Ordered it and decided that I will fit the stainless as that appeared before I got to fit the plastic stuff.
Will fit OK but has no moulded ends like the original trims would have.
Keep your eyes open for stainless Josh.
That's why I saved the stainless gutter trim from the car to be banger raced as it would only get bent

Ah didn't know there stuff was plastic. Would indeed prefer stainless as it won't go manky like the horrible original trim. Bit shinier too 8)
Thanks for the tip mate
