Well who fancies lending me some money? :P
With free tax and low insurance (well for all the folk older than me) it's a sure bet.

If its not able to be saved then the parts are worth getting like dash and trim etc etc. getting hard to find now.

From looking at the photos it certainly looks in reasonable condition. I haven't had any dealings with the Spitfire Graveyard myself so I can't really guess what they intend to do with the car. All I know is that they have been around for quite some time and are a well established concern that obviously specialise in Triumph spares, so I doubt that the Marina is in immediate danger of being crushed, the least they'll do is strip it to sell the parts.
Actually I've just looked at their website and they are under new management and have moved across Sheffield. My guess is that they'll strip it for parts - lets face it they'll probably make more out of it that way - unless someone comes in with an offer they can't refuse.
If anyone needs any local assistance I'll be happy to help.

Called in on my way home from work today to have a look. It would make an ideal winter project for someone. The navy interior is in good condition (but with the obligatory small rip in the drivers seat). It has 62K on the odometer and I've every reason to believe that to be correct; the inner wings are solid, as are the headlamp panels and front crossmember. The front chassis rails look reasonable. Its has had a new nearside wing fairly recently. There is an around a four inch hole in the corner of the drivers footwell due to water ingress but the rest of the floorpan looks ok. All the jacking points are still there but the rear offside one is starting to go, the spring hangers don't look
too bad but would benefit from a bit of attention from the mig. Needs attention to the rear arches, theres a hole in the rear valance and also in the boot opposite the spare wheel well (there are a couple of repair panels in the boot one of which is a lower rear quarter section).
The car is not currently driveable due to failed clutch hydraulics. It also has a full history file.
The guy who runs the place now (Dave) is a good bloke who I reckon is genuine. He got the car when he went to fetch a Spitfire and the Marina was in the same yard. He doesn't really know what its worth but has had an offer (but is still waiting for the person to get back to him).
Conclusion: the car is saveable but will take a bit of work to get back into decent condition. Hope this helps.

It's up for £450 apparently, sounds like a great project for someone.
