it's been around for a few years, the owner seems to attens small shows etc to sell icecream, not a clubmember/forummember afaik. There is this Ital , mine Marina, and another marina in the uk (the last marina was rotting out in somebodys backyard 6-8 years ago, not heard anything of it since then)

I approached the ice cream company to bring their Ital to the Nationals at Sparkford a few years back and they were happy to do so and sell ice cream. However Haynes Museum wanted them to pay a fee for selling ice cream on site as it would reduce their own sales. Because the ice cream company only make money at the weekends they didn't want to come unless they could sell their wares.
I tried again for Burford but same story.
They aren't classic car fans they just use the Ital because it attracts business at shows.
Hey-Ho.

I don't think it's "a shame" at all that they aren't into classics.
At least it's a) survived and b) is still out there doing what it was built to do instead of mouldering away in a lock-up like most classics, eh?

That isn't what I mean't at all....
I meant it's a shame about the fact that they cannot bring it along to a Marina/Ital show to flog ice cream to everyone because of charges imposed on them that would make it unprofitable.

yes had forgotten about that
this is mine in as fpund state
looks better in the pics than it actually is. rotten doors , rotten bonnet , dented/warped grill, rotten rear "lid" for the compressor. normal rust in the usual places, torn driver seat , dash-board needs repaint, engine seized, wrong front hubs (discs), . On the positive side is that the ice cream selling area is very nice & original with the cummins panelwork all intact.
This is the looks i'm going for . Copy of a promo pic from cummins, courtesy of IIRC Andy (some years back so i might remember it wrong)

Cummins marina ice cream van picture i supplied to theforum/club some years ago after being an ice cream man for several years and attending the national ice cream alliance show where i met a publisher of a book of( the history of ice cream vans) and i asked if he had a copy of a marina ice cream van and he glady sent me one which i still have.
Best regards
