At last....my first ever Marina!!

It seems strange after all these many years that I now own a Marina!
Even during and after my mechanics apprenticeship at a British Leyland garage Ive always had Fords..until now.
All the blame is squarely placed at Craig(crashbang) for letting me drive his car and then telling me where there was one hiding in a garage after I said his car was fun to drive.
So after parting with £50 here she is,bit of work to do due to it being in storage but very sound body wise....cant wait to get her on the road :D

but with the NEW battery and now you have gone and payed for wheel cylinders, a service kit for the calipers i think you will go over the budget i set you of £100 i will lose the bet that we made about getting a car for the ton, plus I am not getting an ear bashing from your Mrs!!

Well V6pop, you certainly bagged a little gem there mate!!, looks like another black tulip job there, or is it more blue than mauve, it`s ajob to tell from the photo, but she looks to be in pretty good nick  , as Gary spotted you could do with swapping the bonnet badge with one of the marina badges on the bootlid  , the wheels are Alleycats as Ben said, i used to have a set on a mk3 years ago..nice looking wheels  , well done mate :)
Frank.

Thanks suzanne for the piccys,I forgot you did that when I was signing my life away!
The colour is Black Tulip and the wheels are a real bonus on the deal.
Been in the garage tonight to get her running, the fuel pump didnt seem to want to draw the fuel through when we first tried it on sunday so I pulled it off to take a look. All was ok so I turned to the fuel pipe and sucked it through to prime it and then all was well.Exhaust is blowing at the manifold joint and the rear box has fallen apart!
Off side rear wheel cylinder is leaking onto the tyre so Ive got two new cylinders and shoes to replace both sides.Front calipers are being rebuilt as well as they where dragging when we towed it home and the clutch is still stuck :( ....thats it for the moment unless I pull the engine out to release the clutch,I will take it for a drive first once the brakes are done to see if it will release while driving, hears hoping!!

A nice little car you have yourself!

If you need exhausts let me know! I have back boxes in stock brand new remanufactured and am awaiting front pipes.
