Hi, I was talking to a gentleman at Stonham Barns who has for sale a Morris Ital 1.7HL in Champagne for sale. The car does need some work to it though. It has 94,000 miles on the clock, I'm told this is genuine mileage from new and it has been in the same family since new. He is open to offers on it as his wife has said it has to go as they have too many cars. If you are interested PM me and I will pass on his phone number to you. This may be the one that people have been talking about that has recently been up for sale for around £995 but as I said the car has to go and he is open to offers. ;)

Gary.

Here's some photos of it

It's in reasonable condition, trim has some rips and the bottom of the N/S A post is completely missing, also a couple of holes in the inner wings. Rest of it looks pretty sound though (rear arches, outer wings etc) and doesn't look to have been bodged about with in the past.

Yes now is your chance!

Overall it seems in pretty nice condition, just needs a little bit of welding in a couple of the usual places.

The garage where i get any welding done charges way too much as it is, the joy of not being able to weld.

TBH i`d rather like a 1275, parts off the shelf and tuning all well looked after ;)

One will turn up, took me over a year to find a nice (none rusted) Vauxhall Carlton estate but was worth the wait ;) Made the short list for the NEC show, alas i cant make it this year :frown:

I've seen this floating about on various forums and press for a while now. And price for it have ranged wildly. How flexible his he? I do have a phone number from a classic mag ad I have.
Ponders a phone call ;)
Didnt fit exactly what I was after but it does have potential. Anyone know how bad the 'A' post and inner wings are ?
I can weld so that dosn't put me off...

I had a look at the N/S A post and inner wing, the bottom of the A post was missing and I could see through to the end of the sill, you'd need to chop the bottom of the wing off where it meets the A post and weld some new steel in, a very common rot spot sadly.

I also noticed a hole to the left of the flitch panel, I didn't get a good look at the area at the top of the flitch panel by the bonnet hinges as it was a bit too dark under there!

Other than that she seemed reasonably sound.
